Our baby turned 1 yesterday (more of that later)!!! We enjoyed a beautiful day at Burgess Falls State Park to celebrate Kaylee...and the fact that we all survived the last year! ; ) Lily and Eli were out of school, and Jon took the day off work. Natalie (sister #4) and her boyfriend, Chase, came along for the adventure. We could not have asked for more perfect weather. The falls were all full and gushing after the rain we've had in recent weeks. I couldn't ask for more than the sweet company and beautiful creation I experienced yesterday - what a welcome retreat from normal, day-to-day life!
Lils was a bit chilly before we started hiking.
Daddy and Birthday Girl all loaded up in a backpack we borrowed from some friends from church.
I bet you've never seen one of these before! This double van in all of its awesomeness caught our eyes!
Kaylee was so chatty the entire hike. We thought she'd nap - we couldn't have been more wrong! This picture is blurry, but see her precious hand? She kept reaching out and pointing at all the beauty around her.
The kids felt very important carrying these
Camelbacks with their hats and waters. Jon was telling them before we left the house how we used to use those a lot before either of them was even born. They loved that story. : )
Happy 1 year old girl : )

those are some great family photos. how nice to be outdoors together for the day. and no words about the double van...except that you are awesome for blogging about it.
How fun! What a great day for a hike. And that van? I've never seen anything like that. I thought something was wrong with your camera! :)
Ok, where in the world did that VAN come from? Was the Brady Bunch there? Seriously, how many kids do those people have? Or was it supposed to be a "limo?"
