It's Official!

As I type this, Jon is on his way to our new house to sign the lease!  What an amazing answer to prayers! :)  Thank you for sharing in this with us.  We are committing to live there for 2 years.  In return for our long lease, the owner selected us over 2 other applicants and is allowing us to have the house now, but not start paying until March when our current lease is up.  What a wonderful blessing to move at our leisure over a period of weeks.  

So last time I talked about this house, I was bummed to be leaving charming Franklin.  Here are a few of the perks we are gaining with this move....

* GREAT school for our kids...Lils will start kindergarten this fall!

* Easy access to the freeway, and a shorter commute for Jon.

* Walking distance to the elementary school...and I think even to the library and park as well as a little creek the kids like to throw sticks in. :)

* The house is on a dead end street which means FAR less traffic than where we are now.

* That dead end is connected to a walking/biking path...that path leads all the way to Nana, Papa, Nat, and Madie's house! :)  The walk would be long, but for a run or bike ride, very doable. 

* 3 working bathrooms - this current house has 2 full baths, but one shower has been out for 9 months.

* A huge yard for playing in! :)  There is no fence, but there is a swing-set!  There is also a deck with built in seating.

* A wood burning fireplace...that works.
