A few notes about happenings there...
~Lots of hard work and long hours! With the exception of today (we ended up in the basement instead of in the car as we were getting ready to leave, because the tornado sirens were going off), the kids and I have been up there everyday to see Daddy, and help where we can. Nana, Papa, Nat, and Madie have been absolute life savers and allowed me the freedom to spend a little extra time at LC while they have cared for L, E, and K. I have enjoyed getting to be in the store to see it in action, interact with customers, and do other odd jobs around the restaurant. My fingers are raw from tying up so many bright orange balloons! Lily and Eli have made lots of little people happy by handing them balloons, and Kaylee has delighted many as she just rides around in the Moby wrap smiling at people and chewing on her pacifier.
~Already had issues with POS system shut down, safe not opening, phone lines, vertical cutting machine (mixes dough) etc. We also have lots of smart, hard working people who have pushed through these issues! God has really provided a great team there.
~Yesterday and today were officially labeled our "Grand Opening." The giant spot lights in the parking lot were a huge hit. :) Yesterday went extremely well! The turn out was incredible. We were blown away and reassured that our location should be great! I don't know about today yet...Jon will sleepily tell me when he stumbles in.
~Our realtor, Jeff, has already mapped out an ideal growth progression (in general where we want to build from here within our Territorial Rights Agreement - I remembered the term, Mom! - so we can begin searching for location #2. Yeah, you read that right. Yeah, we know. Crazy!
Well, Kaylers went to bed not long ago, and is already screaming and sounds like she needs boogers sucked out of her tiny nose. :(
Thank you again for all of your concern for us and the store. :) You guys are wonderful!
